Yep. That’s me this morning. I woke early, 5.55am, although usually I am still at work at that time. Luke also woke up and we snuggled in bed for a while before hopping up and having some breakky and allowing Steve to have a sleep in. Amy woke up and unlike the previous week, she was happy. No screaming or crying. Bliss. Hopefully this means she is on the mend and her cold is going away! I can only hope. The poor baby has been so unhappy. Luke wanted to watch a movie on TV and I didn’t feel like watching Piglets Big Movie, so I thought I would hop on the computer and catch up on some blogs and stuff. 2 cups of tea later and I am feeling very serene and happy. Might have to go and make another cuppa though. Mmmmm. I have been a little addicted to tea of late. It’s yummy and I found a teabag that I love – Dilmah Extra Strength. Because you all needed to know that, right? I am just rambling now.
Last thursday the kids and I made some Anzac Biscuits. They were so yummy and we polished them off very quickly. Oops. But we really enjoyed making them. Luke is right into helping out in the kitchen at the moment. He is so cute. We went to the shops yesterday and were looking at the toys and he wanted some kitchen toys! LOL! Here is a photo of the little cooks before we started:
And here is a photo of the end result:
Mmmmm. I can still imagine the smell of the house when baking biscuits.
I was a little dissapointed this year as I would love to go into Sydney to watch the march and give my support and thanks, the problem this year was I was still at work at 9.50am friday morning! Not to worry. When I was little I was in the Air League. Every year we would participate in the march. I loved it. It was great to see all the old diggers and the bands were a great part of the march too. I was in the Air League band. I originally played the triangle (HEY! NO LAUGHING! Someone has to do it!) and then I progressed onto the cymbols (HEY! NO laughing at that either!). LOL! Let me reiterate, I was LITTLE! Hopefully next year I will get to go to the march.
My sister, BIL and their gorgeous bub came over last night for dinner. Afterwards we mucked around playing Buzz on the playstation. It is so funny when after a couple of drinks your coordination and reflexes go! LOL! I had so much fun, I haven’t laughed so much in ages! Thanks for the complany guys! 🙂
I read an email this morning from Mel, and I just can’t help but share, although I am sure it is doing the email rounds!
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others. ~Audrey Hepburn
I love it. So powerful. And with that, dear reader, I bid you adieu. 🙂
