I wish everyone a fun-filled New Years Eve!!!!! Now, for the boring bits. Day 5 & 6 & 7 of our holiday.
Christmas Day and Santa is so clever that he is able to find the kids even when we aren’t home! It wasn’t easy for him, but he got it done. I think he even managed to get the kids what they wanted. Kate had been hanging out for Inheritance by Christopher Paolini. Yeah, she read an 800+ page book in one day. Sheesh! I am not sure how much of it she takes in because she reads so fast, but so does Steve. I however am a slow reader.
After a breakfast of pancakes on my new pancake cooker, we had a bit of a play with the new stuff but decided to take a trip to the beach. It was soooo windy! The dry sand stung our legs and the waves were not as gentle as they had been, so we decided bugger it, we’ll go for a swim back at the holiday park instead! Which doubled as getting the sand out of our costumes!
After our daily nap time, we decided after dinner we would go back to the beach and collect shells. We had an awesome time looking in the rock pools and finding pippies in the water.
Day 6 went a little like this: Boxing Day sales down at Nowra for the kids to spend their money from their Grandma and Poppy in New Zealand. Followed by nap time and pool time. For dinner we went to Kiama again to have fish and chips.
Day 7: pack up and home bound! I couldn’t wait to sleep in my own bed!
Well, if you have stuck with me this far, I commend you. It wasn’t easy. But thank you.
