Project Life: Meeting Becky Higgins

So, I’ve been scrapbooking for about 12 years. When I first started I would rush out and buy the newest Creating Keepsakes magazine every month. I loved that magazine. Becky Higgins would do her monthly sketch and I always marveled at how easy she made scrapbooking look.
I remember hearing about Project Life in 2007. All I knew of it, was that it came in a kit. I didn’t delve too much further into it at the time as I wasn’t scrapping much.
Then 5 years later I saw this Project Life thing again popping up all over my Pinterest news feed. I loved the way it looked and I loved the simplicity of it. Needless to say I got hooked on it pretty quickly.
I love my 2013 album. It’s not quite finished. I just have our snow holiday spread to finish off, but otherwise, it is all done.
So when the opportunity to meet the creator of Project Life, I first baulked at it. I wasn’t sure if it was necessary. I mean, it’s just paper and glue after all.
In the end I went. Not only to meet Becky, but to meet other Project Lifers as well.

And there were plenty of us!
We even had a group shot of the people who attended from our Penrith Crop Nights.

I was a little bit smitten with Becky. She was so lovely and took the time just to chat.

Yep, a good afternoon indeed.
