Day to Day: Mother’s Day

I love Mother’s Day.
The kids gave me a gorgeous new teapot. I love teapots. And tea. And the kids, surprisingly.

This year Steve asked if for Mother’s Day I would like a new sewing machine. I looked around to see what I could get and I didn’t really want to replace my existing 419S with a similar model as my machine is still going strong after 10 years.
I asked around and a few people had recently bought a Horizon. What’s that? So I googled it and saw a beautiful machine that would be awesome for quilting.
So, I rang the quilting shop in Wagga and ordered a Janome Horizon Memory Craft 8200.

Automatic thread cutter – where have you been all my life?!?!
Automatic needle lift – you’re my new favourite function!!
It’s so smooth and quiet. So of course I’ve been sewing like a mad-woman. What an awesome beast of a machine.
