Ok, so the layout didn’t turn out as bad as I had thought it would. I have been loving the inspiration coming from this blog – Gallery Standouts. I already love scrapping vertical and symmetrical so a lot of these layouts just feel ‘right’ to me. You know? I tried to be arty and free with this layout like some of the inspiration, but, yeah, it didn’t work and I tried to cover most of it! LOL! Oh and how good do I feel that I was able to use up some of that Junkitz paper? I bought it when it first came out and I’d be darned if I could make it work with anything! It just goes to show, if you keep (aka hoard) something long enough you will be able to use it eventually!
that's a gorgeous page Beth!! Hope all is well in your part of the world 🙂
I like it!
Yay its done!! definitely NOT a scrap fail! Its very sweet! I love the emotion those photos captures.
I know exactly how you feel Beth. I create things all the time that are just not quite the right look LOL for now. Happens when I am trying to keep an album with similar styled pages that I started years ago. I do like the look of your finished layout and am going over to have a look at the standouts gallery link. I am only allowing myself to work with my oldest paper until I get some of it used up. Might also have to send some of it on to my girls for their stash. Nothing much wrong with the papers just have that mental blank with some that were part of a pack. I don't buy packs anymore LOL.
Oh don't be so hard on yourself Beth – I actually think it looks pretty good – a little arty but still has the contemporary, straight-lined look. I really like it.
