Layout: Happy Birthday

My first January DT share for D-lish Scraps.
I was a bit nostalgic coming up to Luke’s 10th birthday, so I decided to scrap a photo from his 5th birthday.
And here he is on the morning of his 10th birthday. I think he enjoyed his day. He sure loves playing with his presents and dinner out was really nice. He even got to sleep over at his friends. Yep, I think a good day was had. 🙂

  1. I reckon the cameo was an excellent purchase. In saying that, if I had to buy one now, I'd only get the portrait. I really don't think there's a huge need for the 12×12. I have only used it twice for that size.

  2. I'm a newcomer to your blog (saw your work through D-Lish scraps). What a nice touch to include a then and now shot of your boy (My boy is 8 so I felt the heartstrings pulling!). The triangle embellishments are my favourite on this layout. So effective.
An interesting point you've made about the cameo. I've been toying with this purchase for so long (and looking at the Cricut too) but I finally gave up and went back to my trusty Cuttlebug for die cutting. I know it's not the same but I'm happy with it for now.

  3. Thanks so much for your kind words about my layout, Sonia! I reckon if the Cuttlebug is working for you and you have plenty of dies, then stick with it! I still love my BigShot, especially the little doily dies.
